THE household of a lady on the centre of a homicide investigation have paid tribute to a "one in one million" mum.
A homicide probe has been launched after 61-year-old Wendy Francis was found lifeless in Worcester, and a second individual was left preventing for his or her life.
Cops raced to leafy Haresfield Close at around 8.30pm yesterday and tragically discovered the body of Wendy.
In a press release Wendy's family stated: "Wendy will probably be massively missed; she was one in one million and much-loved."
West Mercia Police stated: "Though formal identification has yet to happen, with permission of the family we're capable of affirm that Wendy Francis, aged 61, sadly misplaced her life in an incident which is being investigated by West Mercia Police."
Another lady, 39, was present in a essential condition and raced to hospital with "life-threatening" injuries.
Neighbours claimed the pair have been mother and daughter as they advised of their shock around the deaths.
Cops swarmed Haresfield Shut and arrested a man, 50, on suspicion of homicide and tried murder.
Neighbour Andy Fowler, 62, has lived on the stree his entire life and stated he knew the mum nicely.
He stated: "It has all the time been a very good road.
"I noticed the ambulance engaged on anyone and the police have been holding a blanket round it, so I knew that one thing critical was happening.
"I know them very properly. They're excellent associates of mine.
"I'm very shocked I can't consider it."
Another neighbour, who requested to not be named however is in his 70s, stated: "We've been right here for 25 years and by no means had any hassle, it's a stunning quiet road.
"We're shocked, we wouldn't have anticipated it."
Detective Chief Inspector Leighton Harding of the Murder Investigation Unit stated: "I understand that incidents of this nature may be alarming, but I want to reassure the area people that this was an isolated incident and there is no wider danger to the general public.
"You will discover a better police presence within the space within the coming days as officers investigate this incident.
"Our ideas are with the household of the lady who has sadly lost her life."
Family and friends paid tribute to Wendy on social media.
One stated: "So sad. I keep in mind Wendy and she or he was a stunning woman. Ideas are together with her family members."
One other stated: "Sleep tight Wend& … your family & associates will miss you. You've left a huge gap in so many lives. You'll be eternally a WARRIOR! protecting those you liked!"
