ALISON BOSHOFF: Bond reboot won't go back to the Sixties but new 007 WILL be British!
There will be no going 'back to the future' for the next James Bond film, with numerous sources saying that new producers David Heyman and Amy Pascal are planning a modern reboot – with a young, most likely homegrown leading man as the iconic British super-spy. After the death of Daniel Craig's 007 in No Time To Die in 2021, then the surprise sale of the control of the franchise to Amazon earlier this year, there was speculation the company might make 'vintage' Bond stories, set in the 1960s, like Ian Fleming's original novels.
