The team signed him as an undrafted free agent at safety and coach Todd Bowles was impressed. "Shilo's very aggressive, very young, very hungry," Bowles said before the preseason finale. "He can make plays in the box and we know he can run down and give us 100% on special teams, so this last week is going to be very important for those guys to show up." After that punch and ejection, Bowles' tune changed. "You can't throw punches in this league. I mean, that's inexcusable," he said. "They're going to get you every time. Got to grow from that." Tampa Bay did not include Sanders on the final 53-man roster and did not sign him to the 17-player practice squad. Sanders remains a free agent with the regular season set to begin Sept. 4.
