Hoda Kotbhas hadSavannah Guthrie's back for weeks amid the ongoing search for her friend and former cohost's missing mother, Nancy Guthrie. As the investigation moves toward its fifth week, Kotb is set to keep that support flowing.
The morning show veteran will fill in for Savannah for another week onToday, perPEOPLE. That marks four weeks back in the post she left behind last January.
Kotbfirst filled in for Savannahon the Feb. 6 episode ofToday, five days after Nancy was reported missing from her Tucson, Ariz., home. She and Guthrie's cohost, Craig Melvin, were meant to join NBC's 2026 Winter Olympics press team in Milan, but stayed behind to hold down the fort in Savannah's stead.

"I think there's this helpless feeling. We're all so close with her and we all want to help her," Kotb said on her first day filling in for Savannah. "They say love is patient, love is kind. Put prayers up, that's all we can do."
TheTodayteam has continually paid tribute to their beloved colleague as she focuses on aiding the investigation into her mother's disappearance. Last week, cohosts Kotb, Melvin, Carson Daly, and Al Roker allwore yellow ribbons,adopting the practice of Nancy's neighbors in her Catalina Foothills neighborhood of Tucson. The entireTodaystudio wore yellow ribbons throughout the week in Nancy's honor.
Before Tuesday's State of the Union address, Savannah's NBC colleagueTom Llamas notedthat "Savannah Guthrie is usually here anchoring all of our special political coverage." Instead, Savannah was dealing with "the unthinkable," Llamas said, adding, "We just want to let you know we are praying for you and your mom. We know you're going to get back here at some point."
Nancy Guthrie was last seen outside her home on the evening of Jan. 31, after being dropped off by family members. She was reported missing the following day, and on Feb. 2, the Pima County Sheriff's Department declared her home near East Skyline Drive and North Campbell Avenuea crime scene. Sheriff Chris Nanostold CBS Newsthat he believed Nancy "didn't go willingly" from her home.
Savannah and her siblings, Camron and Annie Guthrie, have put out continuous calls for tips, even addressing their mother's captors directly. "We still believe in a miracle, we still believe that she can come home — hope against hope," Savannah said in a video shared to her Instagram on Tuesday, in which she announced araised reward of $1 million. "We also know that she may be lost. She may already be gone... If this is what is to be, then we will accept it, but we need to know where she is. We need her to come home."
