Jenna Bush Hagerisn't allowed at her daughter's volleyball games anymore — and there's a hilarious reason why.

TheToday with Jenna & Sheinelleco-host, 44, joinedKelly Clarksonon a Tuesday, May 12 episode ofThe Kelly Clarkson Showand spoke about parenting her three kids. At one point, Clarkson asked Bush Hager if it was true that she'd recently been banned from her 12-year-old daughter Mila's sports games.

“I’ve been banned from all of Mila’s volleyball games,” said Bush Hager. “Because the score was six to seven.”

“Oh, you didn’t,” replied Clarkson.

“And I yelled out, ‘Six, seven.’ And she looked at me from the bench, where I spent most of my time as a seventh grader too, and she was like, ‘How could you do that?’ " explained Bush Hager.

"And so then afterwards she said, ‘You’re suspended. You’re not allowed to come,' " remembered the mom of three. "And I said, ‘Please, I promise I’ll be quiet.’ And she says, ‘You’re not capable.’”

Bush Hager shares her three kids — Mila, Poppy, 10, and Hal, 6 — with husband Henry Hager.

Over the years, the former first daughter has beencandid about her motherhood journey, admitting that "logistics can be difficult" as her family has grown. Today, she devotes herself to "making sure that each child has the love that I know I feel for them."

While she often raves about her children onToday, Bush Hager also keeps it real, sharing, "Sometimes I hide from the kids in the pantry and just have a cheese stick."

Still, she looks for the silver lining in each moment with them. "I try to find the love and the pleasure that I know I have for my kids even in the tedious parts of parenting," Bush Hager added.
