Toby Keith was candid about his battle with abdomen cancer before his demise at age 62 in February 2024.

"I've spent the last 6 months receiving chemo, radiation and surgery. Thus far, so good. I want time to breathe, get well and chill out."
The next December, Keith admitted that the illness was "debilitating" during an look on CMT Scorching 20 Countdown. "I want just a little time to only rest up and heal up."
