Erik ten Hag will get a short break from Manchester United as he manages a different team during the international break. The Dutchman, after keeping his job at the end of last season, has had a tough start to the new campaign with two defeats from their first three Premier League games. A good chunk of his United players have gone away for the international break, which has also cleared some space in the diary for the Dutchman.

The fact Cyprus was the final destination helped, of course. Sun, sea and football: a dream combination. Team GB's Eilish McColgan has paid tribute to Ugandan Olympian Rebecca Cheptegui following the marathon runner's tragic death. The Ugandan, who finished 44th in last month's Olympic marathon in Paris, was allegedly doused in petrol and set on fire by her ex-boyfriend on Sunday following a row at her home in Kenya. Cheptegei sustained burns to 80 per cent of her body and was being treated in intensive care in hospital, before she was pronounced dead in the early hours of Thursday.
