Morgan Wallenmarked the opening nightof his "I'm The Problem" Tourwith a fiery performance at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas, including what seemed to be his reaction to recent news headlines. According tomultiple videosfrom fans in attendance at the June 20 concert, Wallendisplayed a montage of negative headlines− including one that read "Morgan Wallenbreaks COVID mask protocols" − during his performance of "I'm the Problem." After the song's performance, Wallen appeared to pour gasoline on the stage and then picked up a lighter, cueing a pyrotechnic show. "You say I'll never change, I'm just a go around town with some gasoline," Wallen sings during the opening lyrics of the song. "Just tryin' to bum a flame, gonna burn the whole place down." Wallen posted an Instagram video walking out before the concert with retired NFL legend Andre Johnson of theHouston Texans. USA TODAY reached out to reps for Wallen and NRG Stadium for comment. "Morgan Wallen burns the place down while bringing the receipts,"wrote one X user.Another user on TikTok wrote, "Morgan Wallen claps back at all the negative headlinesand sets the stage on 'fire.'" Wallen has spent his fair share of time in the headlines. Earlier this year, hecaused quite a stirby making an early exit from "Saturday NightLive" during a March episode of the NBC sketch series. In an unusual moment, he hugged Oscar-winning hostMikey Madisonduring the signoff before walking off stage and then taking to his Instagram stories to post a photo of a plane andwrote, "Get me to God's country." Morgan Wallen teases new album'I'm The Problem' and announces 2025 tour The walk-off moment sparked a wave of criticism for the "Just In Case" hitmaker, whopleaded guiltylast year to misdemeanor reckless endangerment after throwing a chair off the roof of a bar. In 2020, Wallenwas uninvited from "SNL"after videos surfaced that showed him partying without a mask amid the COVID-19 pandemic. The next year, he shocked the music industry when he wascaptured on tape in a TMZ video using a derogatory racial slurcommonly used to describe Black people. The "Kick Myself" singer will also perform Saturday, June 21. Wallen's tour is named after his fourth studio album, in its fourth week at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 top albums chart. His previous album, "One Thing at a Time," spent 19 weeks at No. 1 — the most weeks any country album has ever logged at No. 1. 'The View' Host's Allergic Reaction Demands Immediate On-Air Interventionoriginally appeared onParade. A routine cooking segment onThe Viewshattered into a heart-stopping medical emergency this week when co-hostSunny Hostinendured an on-air allergic reaction. The harrowing incident began innocently enough. Former co-hostDebbie Matenopoulosvisited the set, bringing delectable samples from her new cookbook,GREEK.ish. Hostin, unsuspecting of the danger, tasted a dish. The turning point arrived when co-hostAlyssa Farah Griffinposed a question that pierced the lighthearted mood: "Are those walnuts in here?" Matenopoulos's direct "yes" triggered an immediate wave of terror for Hostin, who suffers from a severe walnut allergy. "You mean when I almost died?" Hostin directly asked on Friday's broadcast, recounting the terrifying ordeal after cohostJoy Beharprompted her to share the full story. Her words, stark and loaded, emphasized the extreme gravity of the situation. The realization of what she had consumed sent a jolt of panic through her. In a desperate, immediate reaction, Hostin scribbled a frantic "death note" to Griffin, conveying the critical nature of her allergy. This chilling message underscored the severe and rapidly unfolding peril. Griffin, initially unable to grasp the urgency of the hastily written note, later recalled the escalating concern visible on Hostin's face. Hostin then caught the eye of Executive ProducerBrian Teta, whose worried gaze seemed to silently ask, "Is everything OK?" Her internal, panicked response was clear:No, it's not.The danger was real, immediate, and rapidly intensifying. As the crisis reached its most critical point,The View's incredibly sharp on-site medical team sprang into action. Hostin later praised them as true lifesavers. "What was great was, our Disney nurses are like superheroes," Hostin recounted. "Nurse Jan came in with an EpiPen. She was testing me. I had Benadryl. I was scared." The swift, decisive intervention of these medical professionals prevented a catastrophic outcome, transforming a terrifying live television moment into a powerful testament to preparedness and immediate response. Griffin, who admitted she hadn't fully processed the implications of Hostin's "death note" in the high-stress moment, received reassurance from Hostin about her supportive presence. "She was great in the moment," Hostin affirmed. "I panicked." The entire team expressed relief that their co-star made it through the harrowing ordeal unharmed.Sara Haines, another co-host, confessed her complete unawareness of Hostin's severe allergy to the specific ingredient in Matenopoulos's salad, highlighting the unforeseen nature of the incident that unfolded so rapidly. The terrifying incident immediately resonated with viewers, sparking a wave of online discussions, particularly among those familiar with the severe risks of food allergies. One YouTube user powerfully articulated the constant vigilance required: "As someone with food allergies this is why you never eat anything unless you know exactly what's in it." The comment continued with an emphatic warning, "I don't care if your Mom, Best friend, Former co-host, makes something, or if you're just trying to be polite and not make a scene or question anyone. You never ever eat something from anyone unless you know every single ingredient. Personally I never eat anything unless I make it, or I watch it being made." This raw, honest reaction underscores the life-altering reality of managing severe allergies and the critical importance of uncompromising caution, a lesson Hostin learned in the most terrifying way imaginable. The past, present and future greatness of sports was on stage at Fanatics Fest in New York on Saturday withLeBron James,Tom BradyandVictor Wembanyamaamong those participating in a live version of James' talk show "The Shop: Uninterrupted." Brady provided a quote to remember in praising James for his career achievements, particularly notable coming from the quarterback many consider the greatest in NFL history with seven Super Bowl championships. But to Brady, LeBron is the greatest of all time. "With the intensity that's been on him, the Olympics, the different teams that he's been on, he's always done things the right way," Brady said, via a video clip by Anthony Rivardo. "He's always risen above all the noise and B.S. and continued to deliver." "So you're witnessing the greatest ever and I hope you guys all appreciate that." But as Brady pointed out, James has faced a level of scrutiny during his career that might be unmatched, going back to him entering the NBA as an 18-year-old straight out of high school, while also enduring criticism for how he left theCleveland Cavaliersfor theMiami Heatbyannouncing the decision on ESPN. "The Shop" was always intended to feature unfiltered discussion from sports stars, emulating the conversations that would take place in a barber shop. Saturday's panel did not disappoint in that regard, featuring several memorable sound bites in addition to Brady's praise of James. Brady said that visiting New York always means taking jabs fromNew York Giantsfans about the two Super Bowls that he lost to the team with theNew England Patriots. "How does it feel to be Eli Manning's son?"he said a Giants fan asked himwhile the two appeared at Fanatics Fest on Friday. James was asked how much longer he would play before retiring. TheLos Angeles Lakersstar has a $52 million player option for next season and can then become a free agent. After joking that Brady played football until he was 59 years old, James then said that Wembanyama — who led the NBA with an average of 3.8 blocks per game — might end up pushing him into retirement sooner than planned. "I can't play that much further," James said. "And the more and more time that I play, as long as he keeps smacking my shots into the f***ing stands, he's gonna make me retire." The 21-year-old Wembanyama then responded that James might retire after him. TheSan Antonio Spurscenter recently finished his second NBA season, which was cut short with two months to playdue to a blood clot in his right shoulder.

Rafael Devers hits first home run for Giants against former team Red SoxNew Foto - Rafael Devers hits first home run for Giants against former team Red Sox

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — For Rafael Devers, his first home run for San Francisco felt similar to the 215 he hit for Boston — even if this one came against the Red Sox just six days after hissurprising trade to the Giants. Devers delighted his new fans in San Francisco when he connected for a two-run homer against his former team on Saturday to help fuel a3-2 winfor the Giants. "Nothing more special than any other home run that I hit," he said through an interpreter. "I'm just here and happy that I was able to contribute for the team's win." Devers began his first series against the Red Sox bygoing 0 for 5 on Friday nightand grounding out in his first at-bat Saturday. He then delivered just what hisnew team had been expectingwhen he hit an opposite-field drive off Brayan Belloover the left-field fencefor a two-run homer in the third inning. "That's kind of typical him too, just let it travel and catch it late and block it out to left field," manager Bob Melvin said. "He's done it so many times in Boston. This park kind of plays that way to lefties as well. I think to get that one off his back, feels good about that, obviously being incredibly impactful in the outcome of the game. Now he can settle in and do his thing." Devers got loud cheers from the Oracle Park crowd of 39,027 as he rounded the bases for his 216th career home run that just happened to be caught by a fan in a Red Sox T-shirt. "As soon as he hit it, you kind of feel almost a little weight fell off his shoulders when he hit that ball," Giants starter Landen Roupp said. "You could just see it. We expect many more from him in that area. Really excited to have him on the team and he will be a huge help." Devers became the 10th player to homer for and against the same team in a span of seven days or fewer, according to Sportradar. The last player to do it was Abraham Toro, who homered for Houston against Seattle on July 26, 2021, and then for the Mariners against the Astros the next day. This is the third time it happened with a player traded by the Red Sox. Don Lenhardt and Walt Dropo both did it in 1952, with their homers for Detroit against Boston coming in the same game on June 6 that season, three days after they were traded together in an eight-player deal. Devers also joined Willie Mays, Jimmie Foxx and four other players who hit their first 200 career homers with one team and then had their first homer on their new team come against their former team. Devers was traded by Boston less than two years into a 10-year, $313.5 million contract extension that he signed in 2023. Devers' relationship with the Red Sox began to deteriorate when the team signed Gold Glove third basemanAlex Bregmanduring spring training and asked Devers to move to DH;he balkedbefore agreeing to the switch. When first baseman Triston Casas sustained a season-ending knee injury, the Red Sox approached Devers about playing the field and he declined, saying the front office"should do their jobs"and look for another player. A day after Devers' comments to the media about playing first, Red Sox owner John Henry, team president Sam Kennedy and chief baseball officer Craig Breslowflew to Kansas Cityto meet with Devers and manager Alex Cora. Devers' stance didn't change and he was eventually traded to San Francisco where he is practicing at first base to play there later this season. Devers said Friday that he wouldn't have done anything differently in his time in Boston, adding that he was as happy as he has been in years after joining the Giants. ___ AP MLB:https://apnews.com/hub/MLB

Patrick Walden, Guitarist for British Group Babyshambles, Dies at 46New Foto - Patrick Walden, Guitarist for British Group Babyshambles, Dies at 46

Patrick Walden, the guitarist for British group Babyshambles, has died at the age of 46. Babyshambles, fronted by Pete Doherty, announced Walden's death on social media in a joint statement. "It is with deep regret and sadness that we share the news of Patrick Walden's death," reads the post. "We feel very fortunate to have known/loved and worked with him and we kindly ask for respect and privacy during these difficult times." No cause of death was given. Walden, a London native, had a short-lived stint with Babyshambles, which Doherty formed in 2004 after he was kicked out of the Libertines for drug abuse. He joined the group as lead guitarist alongside Doherty on vocals, Drew McConnell on bass and Gemma Clarke on drums, and co-wrote six songs on the band's 2005 debut "Down in Albion" including "Fuck Forever," "Pipedown" and "Loyalty Song." "Down in Albion" was a moderate success in the U.K., peaking at No. 10 on the charts. "Fuck Forever" became the group's biggest single, reaching No. 4 on the U.K. singles chart. Walden, who had previously played in bands including Fluid and White Sport, left the group in 2005 after dealing with drug abuse and accusations of assaulting his girlfriend, which led to a brief incarceration. The charges were inevitably dropped. Over the years, he would pop in for performances with Babyshambles, though he never officially rejoined the band. He was not present for a Babyshambles reunion that took place last year, and it was unclear if he would be joining the group for future performances. SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — The San Francisco Giants said Major League Baseball is looking into allegations of abuse made by the wife of reliever Sean Hjelle. Caroline Hjelle made apost on TikTokon Friday of her with the couple's two children with a caption that said: "When my MLB husband abandons us on Mothers Day a week after this (video was taken) once I finally found about his affairs and stopped putting up with his abuse, so I've been raising two boys alone." Hjelle said after Saturday's game that he had no comment on the allegations, adding that he and his wife are in the process of finalizing their divorce. "I feel confident in saying that I will have one eventually," he said. "I don't have an exact timeline on that. But I would like to actually meet with the people that are handling the situation with me and for me before I actually make an official statement." The Giants said in a statement Saturday that they are "aware of these serious allegations" and that MLB is handling it. Manager Bob Melvin said before Saturday's game against the Boston Red Sox that Hjelle would be available to pitch. "Obviously we're aware of it," Melvin said. "He told me about it last night. We talked to MLB. At this point, it's in their jurisdiction right now so I really can't comment on it further." Hjelle took the loss in Friday night's game against the Red Sox, allowing a tiebreaking homer to Ceddanne Rafaela in the sixth inning. For back-to-back champ Panthers, the celebrations will continue before an important offseason beginsNew Foto - For back-to-back champ Panthers, the celebrations will continue before an important offseason begins

SUNRISE, Fla. (AP) — The Florida Panthers' Stanley Cup championship festivities have included an all-night celebration at a popular beach bar; crowd surfing, pole climbing and impromptu karaoke at a Miami nightclub; a Brad Marchandappearance at Dairy Queen; a few team dinners and a boat ride. That's just so far. They insist they've got more in them. "We're not toning it down," defenseman Aaron Ekblad said. "We just won two Stanley Cups in a row. We deserve to have a good time." The Panthers also partied hard after winning the franchise's first title a year ago. But some players have described those days as a surreal whirlwind of first-time experiences. This time around, the celebrations are different, as the reality of what they accomplished set in. "There's a different feeling to it," coach Paul Maurice said during the team's exit interviews on Saturday. "Last year was more of a dream. ... That's the right word. It was a dream come true. It was euphoric. This year, it was an achievement. It was hard. It was hard all year. It was hard at camp. There were just so many places that if we had broken at that point or failed we would've all understood — 'OK, we did our best. We just couldn't get it done.' We never let that happen." The coaches' celebrations, Maurice noted, have been much more subdued compared to last year: They had their first post-championship dinner as a staff Friday night. They joined some players on a boat ride. "I haven't had a hangover yet," Maurice said, "so way ahead of where I was last year." Maurice heard about his players' celebrations from his wife, who has shown him a few viral social media posts here and there. Panthers captain Aleksander Barkov said they're giving themselves "permission" to celebrate more freely this year because they have already been through the experience. "And don't get me wrong, it's still amazing," he added, "but now everyone knows how to sit back a little and enjoy it, because last year was so hectic. Like it happened to you for the first time ever, and you had been dreaming about it for so long." The Panthers in fact celebrated so hard that the Stanley Cup itselfgot a little banged up. The silver chalice that has endured bumps and bruises throughout its 131-year existence was cracked at the bottom of the bowl the night of Florida's clinchingGame 6 win over Edmonton, though Barkov noted the team hasn't received any harsh reprimands from the keepers of the Cup or the Hockey Hall of Fame. "I think they've seen worse," he quipped. "I think every year they have to fix some part of it. But yeah, don't be stupid. Don't take it to the ocean, stuff like that. We should know the rules by now." The Panthers' championship parade will be on Fort Lauderdale Beach on Sunday — one of their last opportunities to celebrate together before the players disperse for the summer and general manager Bill Zito begins an important offseason. Free agency begins July 1, and while a good chunk of Florida's core — including Barkov and stars Matthew Tkachuk and Sam Reinhart — are already under long-term contracts, a few key contributors are set for free agency in Marchand, Ekblad and playoff MVP Sam Bennett. All three players have expressed their desire to stay in Florida. Bennett, who led all players with 15 postseason goals, said at the Miami nightclub E11even that he's not leaving. Marchand has publicly petitioned Zito to give him a contract. Ekblad, who was drafted by the Panthers in 2014, said Saturday that his representation has had conversations with the Panthers on a potential deal, but "nothing material yet." "I've spent 11 years here," Ekblad said. "It's home, and I expect it to be home." Tkachuk, who will play in his fourth season with the Panthers next year, said he believes Florida's window to compete for titles remains wide open, and he hopes to compete with as many pieces from this year's run as possible. "You're going to have a different roster each and every year," he said, "but hopefully the core of guys, we can continue building. With that being said, we've got some unbelievable players that are up for contracts that I hope they get every single cent they can because that's what you want for your best friends. It's time to cash in for some of those boys. Hopefully it's here." ___ AP NHL:https://apnews.com/hub/nhl

"The Blues Brothers" turns 45! This scene remains the greatest musical moment in cinema (and you better 'Think' about it before disagreeing)

Universal/Courtesy Everett They were on a mission from God. WhenDan Aykroyd,John Belushi, and directorJohn Landisdecided they would adapt the popular Blues Brothers characters fromSaturday Night Liveinto a feature film, there was a bidding war before there even was a script. The late-night show was already an established cultural marvel, the Landis-Belushi filmAnimal Housewas a sensation, and the Blues Brothers' albumBriefcase Full of Blueswasan unexpected phenomenon, making it to No. 1 onBillboard's album charts and going double platinum. Wisely — oh, so very wisely — the creators recognized that they needed to call in some ringers if this movie (whatever it was going to be about) was going to work. As such, the finished product is a parade of musical legends, not just comedians who wear funny suits and do a passable job singing R&B hits. Sunset Boulevard/Corbis via Getty Ray Charles, John Lee Hooker (withPinetop Perkins), Cab Calloway, andJames Brownall get memorable musical moments, but the zenith is reached when the Queen of Soul,Aretha Franklin, takes center stage for the highlight of this movie, and also every movie, and also life as a sentient creature on planet Earth. To very briefly set up the clip: Jake and Elwood Blues (Belushi and Aykroyd) need to raise money to save the orphanage where they were raised. They decide, in classic Hollywood fashion, to put on a show and, as such, set about "putting the band back together." Much of the movie's first chunk is dedicated to regrouping with their old fellowship — most of whom were the actual musicians from the successful album doubling as actors, includingSteve CropperandDonald "Duck" DunnofBooker T. and the M.G.'s,"Blue Lou" Marini,"Bones" Malone, and several other personalities beloved by hardcore record collectors. Sign up forEntertainment Weekly's free daily newsletterto get breaking TV news, exclusive first looks, recaps, reviews, interviews with your favorite stars, and more. When they hunt downMatt "Guitar" Murphy(who in real life recorded with everyone fromEtta JamestoBuddy GuytoChuck BerrytoOtis Rush), he is working as a short order cook at a diner. Just before he's about to hit the road with the guys, his wife tells him "he better think about it." His wife is played by the one and only Franklin, who also has to deal with the Blues Brothers' weirdo order. Observe: Assuming you have just watched the above clip, you can now say that you have seen the greatest musical sequence in all of history. If you disagree, you are wrong. (Anyone who disagrees is welcome to send an email to IAmWrong@aol.com.) From the moment the tune kicks in, this is a runaway train, and that's before the ladies at the counter join in, the sax fills, or the "haaaaaaay!" at the 3:40 mark. Ross Marino/Getty "Think" was written by Franklin and Ted White (Franklin's then husband), and was originally recorded in 1968. It was produced by Jerry Wexler at Atlantic Records, and went to No. 7 onBillboard's Hot 100 chart (and No. 1 on the R&B chart). It wasn't quite as big of a hit as "Respect" or "(You Make Me Feel) Like a Natural Woman" or "Chain of Fools," but it was still a pretty substantial success. Here's how the original sounded: One thing you'll notice about the 1980 version is that it's a lot faster. Does that make itbetter? This is up to you to decide, but one thing is for certain: it's a lot of fun to see Franklin belting out this song as a character sassing her husband... with Belushi and Aykroyd in goofy outfits in the background. The soundtrack album toThe Blues Brothershit No. 11 on the charts, and also went double platinum. In addition to singing, Franklin also played piano on the recording of "Think." (Paul Shafferwas involved in some of the instrumentation; maybe that was the special sauce.) If watching the scene fromThe Blues Brothershas you itching for more Franklin on film, you are in luck in ways that earlier generations were not. In 2018, footage of a two-night performance at a Los Angeles church, which had been sitting on a shelf since 1972, was finally reassembled and released to audiences as the documentaryAmazing Grace. The reasons for the delay were both legal and technical, but the result is one of the most fabulous concert films ever. And not just because there are shots ofMick JaggerandCharlie Wattslooking absolutely gobsmacked to be in the presence of Aretha Franklin. (Who. Could. Blame. Them.) What Ever Happened to the Cast of "Hawaii Five-O?"

Everett Collection With one of the most recognizable theme songs,Hawaii Five-Oswept its way onto screens worldwide and brought Detective Steve McGarrett and his team to life. The series starred Jack Lord and James MacArthur as detectives for a fictional Hawaii state police department.
