Bob Odenkirk is definitely open to stepping back into the shoes of his most famous character, but doesn't think it's likely to happen any time soon. "Better Call Saul" finished three years ago after the "Breaking Bad" prequel spin-off enjoyed an acclaimed six-season run — ending with Odenkirk's lawyer and con artist Saul Goodman being given an 86-year prison sentence for his crimes. More from Variety 'Nobody 2' Stunt Coordinator on Training Bob Odenkirk for That Duck Boat Fight Scene and How the Star's Childhood Inspired It Bob Odenkirk on Changing 'Nobody 2' Setting From Venice to a Rundown Resort and His Fitness Regimen: 'Trying to Turn a Comedy Writer's Body Into an Action Hero's' 'Nobody 2' Review: Bob Odenkirk's Geek Assassin Goes on a Family Vacation in a Sequel as Preposterously Vicious, and Fun, as 'Nobody' "That part turned my life around, and I've given more to that part than anything I've done," Odenkirk said while speaking on "Today" on Monday. "Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould created that show. They are some of the best writers who ever worked in TV. So if they were to think of something in that world, of course I would do it." But the actor — currently in cinemas with action sequel "Nobody 2" — admitted it's only a remote possibility, with the "Better Call Saul" creators busy on other things. "I think they've all moved on to some more amazing projects that you'll soon see," he said, adding that Saul's current circumstances would have to play a major part if any revival were to happen. "He's not getting out [of prison]. If there's another Saul show, it takes place inside prison." "Better Call Saul" ran from 2015-2022 and received 53 Emmy nominations, which is a record for the most nominations without a win. It also landed six Golden Globe nominations without winning an award. It's widely regarded as one of the greatest shows to have never won an Emmy. Cal Raleigh hits 47th homer, closing in on Salvador Perez's catcher recordNew Foto - Cal Raleigh hits 47th homer, closing in on Salvador Perez's catcher record

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. (AP) — Cal Raleigh autographed a toilet seat for one fan, along with the scores of baseballs and other paraphernalia "The Big Dumper" signed for shrieking Little Leaguers. Raleigh gave the kids a real treat hours later. The Seattle Mariners slugger socked his 47th homer of the season to boost his major league lead and put him within striking distance of the season homer record for catchers set by Kansas City's Salvador Perez. "He continues to swing a really hot bat," Mariners manager Dan Wilson said. "I don't think I'll ever get tired of that." Raleigh's two-run shot in the seventh inning sent hundreds of Little Leaguers from around the globe cheering in delight to see one of the brightest stars in Sunday'sMLB Little League Classicgo deep. It didn't help the Mariners much in defeat. The New York Metsbeat the Mariners7-3 and won the last two games of the three-game set. The Mariners are still in the thick of the AL wild-card race and hope to gain ground when they head Monday to Philadelphia for the start of a three-game series. Raleigh could make catching history in Philly. Perez hit 48 homers for the Royals in 2021. "I think it's been an incredible season for him," Wilson said. "But I think we knew what's in there. He's done a great job of bringing it out." Raleigh put more than his prodigious power on display in the home of youth baseball's biggest weeks of the summer. Raleigh's chest protector featured abaseball card designof Mariners players and coaches from when they were kids. He breezed through the pregame clubhouse in a "Little Dumper" T-shirt gifted by some of the Little Leaguers. "You grow up wanting to come here as a kid. Get to do it as an adult now," Raleigh told MLB Network before the game. "It's really fun. Excited to meet the kids and hang out." Raleigh power was always evident. He hit 27 homers in 2022, 30 in 2023 and 34 last season. Now he's on pace to easily top 50 homers and maybe more. There are only five other players in big league history who have hit at least 40 homers while primarily playing catcher: Perez, Johnny Bench (twice), Roy Campanella, Todd Hundley and Mike Piazza (twice). Bench, Campanella and Piazza are Hall of Famers. "He's a guy that we knew all along coming up in the minor leagues that he had a pretty high ceiling," Wilson said. "What he does behind the plate and what he does now at the plate has been unbelievable. He's carried the weight of both of those things and has done it very well." A first-time All-Star at age 28, Raleigh burst through on the national scene when he won theAll-Star Home Run Derby. He became the first switch-hitter and first catcher to win the title. He's the second Mariners player to take the title after three-time winner Ken Griffey Jr. Raleigh's homer Sunday also gave him 102 RBIs this season. He's the first catcher to record back-to-back 100 RBI seasons since Piazza and and the first American League catcher to reach that feat since Thurman Munson. Even more milestones await. Maybe even a playoff berth. "He's just become a better hitter," Wilson said. ___ AP MLB:https://apnews.com/hub/mlb

The Big Ten and SEC lead the way in the debut USA TODAY Sports College Football Re-Rank 1-136 for the 2025 season, mirroring the very top ofthe preseason US LBM Coaches Poll. Texas and Ohio State don't top the list, however. Instead, the re-rank starts with No. 1 Penn State and No. 2Georgia, followed by No. 3 Clemson. TheLonghornsland at No. 4 and theBuckeyesat No. 6, sandwiching No. 5 Notre Dame. At this point, theNittany Lionsare more of a sure thing than Ohio State, which has a new quarterback, a new backfield, a largely remade defensive front seven and new coordinators on offense and defense. The switch to Georgia atop the SEC stems from one of the biggest questions in the Bowl Subdivision entering the regular season: After beating Texas twice last season, are we really sure the Bulldogs are poised to cede control of the conference to the Longhorns? PATH TO PLAYOFF:Sign up for our college football newsletter But this might not last past the year's first full weekend, whenOhio State hosts Texasin one of the marquee season openers in recent FBS history. A win by either team might be enough to justify a leap into the top spot. Rounding out the top 12 are No. 7 Alabama, No. 8 Oregon, No. 9 Miami, No. 10 LSU, No. 11 Oklahoma and No. 12 Illinois. LSU is another team in line for a major boost after Week 1 should the Tigers win at Clemson. Overall, the top 30 teams in the first re-rank include 10 from the SEC, eight from the Big Ten, five from the Big 12, four from the ACC, two from the Mountain West and one independent in theFighting Irish. The favorites by Power Four conference are Penn State, Georgia, Clemson and No. 13Kansas State. The Wildcats are at the front of a very crowded top of the Big 12 that includes No. 18Arizona State, No. 19 Texas Tech, No. 28 TCU and No. 30 Utah. Over in the Group of Five, the preseason favorites are No. 23Boise State(MWC), No. 35 Tulane (American), No. 48 James Madison (Sun Belt), No. 50 Toledo (MAC) and No. 55 Western Kentucky (Conference USA). Tour Championship field of 30 finalized after Rickie Fowler misses outNew Foto - Tour Championship field of 30 finalized after Rickie Fowler misses out

OWINGS MILLS, Md. -- Akshay Bhatia received the 30th and final spot in the Tour Championship field after late blunders by Michael Kim and Rickie Fowler on Sunday at the BMW Championship. The FedEx Cup playoff field was trimmed from 50 to 30 following the BMW Championship at Caves Valley Golf Club, won by Scottie Scheffler. Kim and Fowler were the first two players on the wrong side of the cut line, though both had their chances throughout the final round. Only one golfer player his way into the top 30 from the outside this week: Englishman Harry Hall, whose sixth-place finish propelled him from No. 45 to No. 26. That came at the expense of Lucas Glover, whose 10-over-par week dropped him from 30th to 36th. Hall pitched in for birdie at the difficult par-3 17th hole -- a move that Scheffler pulled off soon after on his way to victory. "I've been hitting that chip shot on the practice chipping green all week, like the same spot warming up every day with a 54 (wedge) into the grain on an upslope," Hall said. "As soon as I saw the lie, I'm like, I've been doing this all week." It's the first time the 28-year-old advanced to the Tour Championship. "Yeah, massive. Really happy," Hall said. "Can't wait to play in the FedEx Cup next week and hopefully keep continuing to play well." All 30 players will begin the Tour Championship at even par, and the winner after 72 holes will claim the FedEx Cup. It's a change from recent years after the PGA Tour employed a staggered format that allowed the No. 1 player in the points standings to begin the Tour Championship at 10 under, No. 2 to start at 8 under and so on. Bhatia began the week 29th in FedEx Cup points and finished in 30th, and his journey there didn't lack drama. On Saturday, he shot a round of 66 that included a hole-out eagle and a hole-in-one at No. 17. Without that ace, it is more than likely that Bhatia wouldn't have finished high enough to earn the points necessary to advance to Atlanta. But on Sunday, he put himself in a bind by bogeying four of his final seven holes in a round of 72. He had to wait for the afternoon rounds to finish and see what Hall, Kim and Fowler did. Fowler was 4 under through 10 holes and 10 under for the tournament, within striking distance of the lead and a near-certainty to finish in the top 30. After a bogey-birdie-bogey run, Fowler overshot the 15th green and couldn't get his third shot all the way up the slope to the green, eventually leading to a double bogey. Fowler was aiming to climb into the top 30 after moving from 64th to 48th in points at last week's FedEx St. Jude Championship. He tied for seventh at 7 under, while Kim bogeyed two of his final five holes and placed 10th at 6 under. "I started to feel better and better as the summer went on," Fowler said. "Played a lot. I was getting worn down, but I was ready to keep on going." The field of 30 at the Tour Championship, Aug. 21-24 at East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta: 1. Scottie Scheffler 2. Rory McIlroy 3. J.J. Spaun 4. Justin Rose 5. Tommy Fleetwood 6. Ben Griffin 7. Russell Henley 8. Sepp Straka 9. Robert MacIntyre 10. Maverick McNealy 11. Harris English 12. Justin Thomas 13. Cameron Young 14. And he apparently took it in stride. White's first of two appearances as Dr. Beth Mayer came in the series' 11th-season episode "The Carpals in the Coy-Wolves," which aired in 2015. After actor T. J. Thyne admitted she was "a little troublemaker" on set, Boreanaz — who played protagonist Seeley Booth in the long-running drama — shared during theBonespanel that White's trouble also extended to one NSFW comment. "She showed up in the diner. They drive her in and put her — Ms. White — [they] usher her in. And she says hello to everybody," he said of their first interaction. "It's been really interesting to see the show because all of them I hadn't watched for 20 years basically. And then there's a couple so far that I hadn't seen yet, I don't think. And then definitely as we go along, there'll be ones I never have seen," she said. "So it's interesting to look back and see like, 'What did we do?' And I guess one takeaway is, hey, it was pretty solid. The show is pretty solid." Yamillah Hurtado contributed reporting to this story. Read the original article onPeople
