Apple TV+ released the hit drama's official season 4 trailer on Wednesday, Aug. 20. Per an official synopsis from the streamer, the new installment picks up "almost two years after the events of season three." "With the UBA-NBN merger complete, the newsroom must grapple with newfound responsibility, hidden motives and the elusive nature of truth in a polarized America. In a world rife with deepfakes, conspiracy theories and corporate cover-ups — who can you trust? And how can you know what's actually real?" Jennifer Aniston,Reese Witherspoon,Billy Crudup,Karen Pittman,Nicole Beharie, Nestor Carbonell,Mark Duplass,Greta LeeandJon Hammreturn for the 10-episode run. NewcomersMarion Cotillard,Jeremy Irons,Aaron Pierre,William Jackson Harperand Boyd Holbrook are joining the cast as well. Apple TV "This is a reset," says Aniston's Alex Levy, who is seen posing on a cover between Lee's Stella Bak and Cotillard's Celine Dumont. The cover in question reads, "New Paradigm or Glass Cliff? UBN's New Leadership Talk Mergers, Streaming and the Future of News." "A different company, a different culture," Alex continues. "We promised real change to push the stories we cared about," adds Lee's Stella, as a glimpse of Crudup's network CEO Cory Ellison is shown walking, appearing glum in the face. Apple TV We then see Pittman's producer character Mia Jordan, as she notes to a room of network that "people need to feel that UBN is gonna have it first and they're gonna have it right." But that stance doesn't appear to resonate with Cotillard's Celine, who bluntly says, "A nice idea, but it's not sexy." The big shift in the network's focus is also addressed, as Mia questions UBN being pitched "as a feminist utopia where women lift each other up." We soon see that it isn't a reflection of what's actually going on behind the scenes, as Alex later questions if Mia just left their heated conversation with "some kind of a threat." At one point, Witherspoon's Bradley reveals that the network, when it was still named UBA, "was involved in a cover-up," and "people died" as a result. She then asks Duplass' Charlie "Chip" Black to "work with me" to get to the bottom of this. "I'm shutting the story down," says Alex, though Bradley hits back, saying, "I have to do this, whether you like it or not." Alex soon realizes that "someone is trying to set me up," which is a moment that comes after we Hamm's tech billionaire character Paul Marks (who had a fling with Aniston's Levy in season 3 that halted after she learned of his plans to buy UBA) saying to her, "Is that Alex Levy causing trouble again?" The trailer shows glimpses of an FBI raid, someone running as an alarm sounded and Bradley being escorted somewhere by authorities. "The truth is incendiary, and it's under attack," says Mia. "Isn't that why you did all of this?" Bradley asks Alex. "The cleaning of house? To make this place better?" To that, Alex declares: "You can't clean a house if you're about to blow it up!" Apple TV "The Morning Showis just a beast to film. It is layered, it's complicated, it's emotional, it hits on a lot of topics and current events, so let's just say, it's notFriends," she shared. The PEOPLE Puzzler crossword is here! How quickly can you solve it? Play now! The LolaVie founder, who also produces the show alongside Witherspoon, notes that filming the series "takes a lot out of you." "We're involved in every single aspect of the show, on top of just the performance side, which is a big piece of it," she added. "But I've got incredible support, and we have such an incredible team." Season 4 ofThe Morning Showpremieres on Wednesday, Sept. 17 on Apple TV+ with the first episode, followed by one episode dropping every Wednesday through Nov. 19. Read the original article onPeople

The legendaryRita Morenois making a powerful return to her roots, not for a performance, but for an intimate, deeply personal evening with her community. On August 21, the EGOT-winning icon will take the stage inPuerto Ricofor a special installment of the "Diálogos Icónicos" series. The night, organizers say, is designed to feel less like a formal lecture and more like a heartfelt conversation with an artist who has been a beacon of hope for her people for decades. Theeventis set to be a unique experience. Curated images from key moments in Moreno's sprawling career will line the venue, creating a "living gallery" that guides the audience through her journey. Characters inspired byWest Side Storywill move through the aisles, and exclusive footage will play on the main screen, immersing the audience in her story. The night promises to be a "conversation around a shared table," a fitting setting for a story as raw and real as Rita Moreno's. At apress conferencefor the event, the 93-year-old star sported her signature short haircut, blue glasses, and a vibrant ensemble of blue and white striped pants with a matching jacket. Moreno confessed that her desire to connect with the audience came from a place of shared struggle. "I love to share with the audience or with my fans, because there are many things they don't know," Moreno said. "They don't know the struggles that I lived." The star, who was a pioneer for Latina women in Hollywood, went on to admit that she still has to give herself strength to remember the battles she had to fight to break down barriers. Moreno's trademark candor underscores her legacy and why she is considered "la pionera" (the pioneer) by her community. In a moment that bridged her storied past with Puerto Rico's present, Moreno expressed regret that her busy schedule would prevent her from attending fellow Boricua iconBad Bunny's concert residency. Bad Bunny's 30-show "No Me Quiero Ir De Aquí" (I Don't Want to Leave Here) residency is a love letter to the island that is expected to inject $200 million into the local economy. The night is poised to be a celebration of both Moreno's remarkable past and the future of Puerto Rican talent she helped pave the way for. Arch Manning: Grandpa Archie apologized for NFL commentsNew Foto - Arch Manning: Grandpa Archie apologized for NFL comments

Arch Manning has started only two games in his collegiate career and enters the season opener as the unquestioned starter at Texas for the first time in three seasons. Yet a majority of the talk surrounding the redshirt sophomore coming into the 2025 campaign has focused on his plans for the NFL. And on Tuesday, the third-generation quarterback said he received an apology from the person who most recently fanned those flames. His grandfather. In an article recently published in Texas Monthly, Archie Manning, the patriarch of the family that includes Peyton and Eli Manning -- Arch's uncles -- predicted his namesake won't be a one-and-done starter and jump into the 2026 NFL Draft. "Arch isn't going to do that. He'll be at Texas," Archie Manning said. Arch Manning addressed his grandfather's comments for the first time Tuesday. "I don't know where he got that from," the 21-year-old Manning said of his grandpa. "He texted me to apologize about that. I'm really just taking it day by day right now." Some NFL teams likely already have Arch atop their draft boards. After the 2025 season, he'll be draft-eligible. Despite his lack of college playing time, oddsmakers have Arch Manning as the favorite to win the Heisman Trophy and, before Archie's comments, to be the first pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. In limited playing time while backing up Quinn Ewers in Austin the previous two seasons, Arch Manning has thrown for 969 yards and nine touchdowns in 12 games played. Both Peyton and Eli were No. 1 overall draft picks. Archie was a No. 2 selection himself in 1971 out of Ole Miss. Peyton is in the Pro Football Hall of Fame, while Eli (who most famously twice Tom Brady and the New England Patriots twice in the Super Bowl) has yet to be voted in. Arch's father is Cooper Manning, the oldest of the three Manning brothers. The Longhorns are ranked No. 1 in the nation and open the season Aug. 30 against No. 3 Ohio State in Columbus, Ohio. --Field Level Media

Vikings trade rumors: Top options as team 'seriously explores' WR tradeNew Foto - Vikings trade rumors: Top options as team 'seriously explores' WR trade

TheMinnesota Vikingshave seen their receiving corps thinned ahead of the 2025 NFL season byJordan Addison's three-game suspensionandRondale Moore's season-ending knee injury. That may inspire general manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah to add to the position ahead of Week 1. The Vikings are "seriously exploring veteran receivers in the trade market" given the absences in their receiving corps,NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reports. The goal would be to pair the veteran with Justin Jefferson – who is expected to play in Week 1 after missing several weeks of training camp with a hamstring injury – until Addison returns to the field in Week 4. Minnesota is armed with a respectable $26.4 million in salary cap space, perOverTheCap.com. That will enable to the team to easily absorb salary in any trade involving a wide receiver. The question is whether the Vikings will be looking for a stopgap to help replace Addison or whether they will consider swinging bigger as they look to surround first-year starting quarterbackJ.J. McCarthywith as much talent as possible. Here are some options the Vikings could consider pursuing. 85684103007 If the Vikings want to swing big at receiver, they could consider trying to pry McLaurin away from Washington. The 29-year-old requested a trade amid a contract dispute with the Commanders, and the team could eventually capitulate to his demand if it can't bridge the gap on a long-term extension. McLaurin has posted five consecutive 1,000-yard receiving seasons and logged a career-best 13 touchdowns in his first season withJayden Daniels. He is a consistent separator and a sharp route runner who would create a top-tier receiving trio alongside Jefferson and Addison. Add in that McLaurin overlapped with Kevin O'Connell for two years in Washington and he should be able to quickly ingratiate himself into Minnesota's offense. If the Vikings don't target McLaurin, they could still swing a deal with Washington. Osborn is firmly on the Commanders' roster bubble, so they could consider shipping the 28-year-old back to Minnesota, where he enjoyed the best seasons of his career. The Vikings selected Osborn in the fifth round of the 2020 NFL Draft and he recorded 158 catches for 1,845 yards and 15 touchdowns across four seasons with the team. He served as the team's No. 3 receiver in 2023, Addison's rookie season, and could reprise that role with the Vikings for this campaign. The Patriots have some difficult roster decisions to make at receiver. Bourne,Ja'Lynn PolkandJavon Bakerare all on the roster bubble, so the Vikings could pursue any to add depth to their receiver room. Bourne – a nine-year veteran who has played 111 games and made 292 catches during his career – is the most experienced of the bunch. That may make him the best option fro the Vikings, who could use him as an early-season No. 2 receiver across from Jefferson before shifting him into the No. 3 role upon Addison's return. Lazard spent five years with the Green Bay Packers, giving the Vikings plenty of opportunities to watch him play. He disappointed during his two seasons with the New York Jets, but his 83 career games played and his 6-5, 227-pound frame would add needed experience and size to Minnesota's receiver room. Cooks has been traded four times during his career. Could the Saints make it a fifth? New Orleans signed the 2014 first-round pick to a two-year deal in the offseason, but the soon-to-be 32-year-old may not fit the timeline of their rebuild. If the Vikings come calling, the Saints could be comfortable rolling withChris OlaveandRashid Shaheedas their top receivers while elevating some of their young talent at receiver. Cooks has notched 1,000-yard receiving seasons with four different teams but is coming off a career-low 29 catches for 259 yards and three touchdowns across 10 games with the Dallas Cowboys in 2024. Johnson has been on four different teams in the last year, and was infamously released by the Baltimore Ravens after refusing to play in a game because he was cold. He signed with the Browns during the offseason to try to rebuild his value, but the 29-year-old may not make Cleveland's final roster. Johnson was a capable starter for five years with the Pittsburgh Steelers before his trying 2024 season. O'Connell may smell an opportunity to buy low on the Toledo product and see if he can coach the 2021 Pro Bowler back into his top form while Addison is suspended. Below is the pecking order of Minnesota's top-six receivers according tothe Vikings' most recent depth chart: Justin Jefferson* Jordan Addison* Jalen Nailor Lucky Jackson Tai Felton Jeshaun Jones * Denotes starter. Any receiver the Vikings acquire would likely join the top-six group. However, it isn't clear if he would immediately catapult into the top three or have to work his way up the depth chart. If Minnesota doesn't land a veteran wide-out, one of the other receivers on its roster –Silas Bolden,Dontae Fleming,Tim Jones,Robert Lewis,Myles PriceandThayer Thomas– would potentially have a chance to make the 53-man roster during Addison's suspension. Everton's new stadium along Liverpool's River Mersey was 11 years in the makingNew Foto - Everton's new stadium along Liverpool's River Mersey was 11 years in the making

Dan Meis received an intriguing prompt 11 years ago. "I had a young business development guy that said, 'Hey, if I can give you a meeting with Everton will you go to Liverpool?'" the stadium design expert recalled. "And I said: 'They're not going to hire a Los Angeles architect.' I sort of saw them as like the Cubs of the Premier League, historic and provincial." Meis, the architect of Seattle's T-Mobile Park, Philadelphia's Lincoln Financial Field and Los Angeles' Crypto.com Arena, listened to Joshua Boren of his staff and was picked to turn Everton's long-hoped-for stadium into a reality, The Toffees play their first official match in 52,769-capacity Hill Dickinson Stadium on Sunday, their Premier League home opener against Brighton. "This is going to help us win on the pitch more, because this revenue that we're going to generate, rather than being seen as a cash grab, The Friedkin Group have committed to recycle that straight back," Everton CEO Angus Kinnear said of the club's new owner. Everton had played at Goodison Park since moving from Anfield for the 1892-93 season and its ground was the site of five matches during the 1966 World Cup, including Pelé's only World Cup defeat. Its capacity of 39,414 ranked 10th in the EPL last season, while Hill Dickinson is seventh, trailing Manchester United, Tottenham, West Ham, Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester City. There are 5,246 premium seats in the 800 million pound (currently $1.08 billion) stadium, four times the 1,300 at the old venue. It is built on 21.4 acres (8.7 hectares) to Goodison's 8 (3.25). Fans have 279 wheelchair positions, 58 accessible toilets, 20 gender-neutral toilets, 95 baby-changing facilities and 19 elevators. A 17,000-capacity fan plaza can host outdoor events, adjacent to the restored Hydraulic Tower and Engine Room dating to 1883, and Everton Way outside the stadium includes 36,000 personalized granite stones with supporters' names, which cost 99 to 750 pounds apiece (currently $134 to $1,012). "The stadium looks the business. It looks elite," manager David Moyes said whenhe returned in January. "So we need to start getting some elite players." Everton has nine league titles, the last in 1987, less than half the 20 each of Liverpool and Manchester United, and in 2023 wasthreatened with relegation until the season's final day. It has long been its city's second-biggest team, Everton's blue outnumbered by Liverpool's red. "Whilst on a global scale Liverpool is bigger, in the city it feels like an equal split to me," Kinnear said. "When you look at postcode analysis, there's more Liverpool postcodes in our season ticket base than there are in Liverpool's." Players have a circular home locker room with an adjacent hydrotherapy pool. Hill Dickinson has 15 of what the team terms bars, restaurants and experiences along with 274 points of sale and 137 bathrooms. The new ground is 2 miles (3.2 kilometers) from Goodison, which sits across Stanley Park from Anfield and will be used going forward byEverton's women's team. After exploring building inWalton Hall Parkand suburban Kirkby, Everton picked the Bramley-Moore Dock along the River Mersey as its preferred site in 2017, and ground was broken in 2021. A dredger made 130 round trips into the Irish Sea to collect nearly 17 million cubic feet (480,000 cubic meters) of sand to fill in the dock area over three months. Three months afterThe Friedkin Group bought control of the team from Farhad Moshiri, Everton said this past March it hadobtained 350 million pounds (then $451.5 million) in long-term financingfor the stadium. The first test match took place the next month involving the Toffees' under-18 team, and in May,Everton announced a naming rights agreement with the Hill Dickinson law firm. The senior team's first appearance was at an Aug. 9 friendly against Roma. "It's going to take a bit of us getting used to it completely," Moyes said. "It's a step up, certainly, from Goodison." UEFA has picked the stadium as a site for the2028 European Championship. Meis' flight for the initial pitch meeting was an hour late and his train delayed another hour before he finally saw then-CEO Robert Elstone, who explained the club's unique history. "All they care about is sort of this cauldron of energy and the experience," Meis recalled. Bill Kenwright, Everton's longtime chairman, gave Meis challenging instructions. "He said: 'I want something that's both historic and contemporary. It has to look to the future,'" Meis recalled. Meis made his first of about 30 trips to the site in 2016 and began sketching ideas, even before the final location selection. Brickwork, concrete benches and steel fencing on the site boundary pays homage to Goodison Park's Archibald Leitch-designed latticework. "You can see this kind of very traditional brick base that feels like the Titanic or the other buildings around there, but it had this very swoopy kind of space-age looking roof kind of coming out of it and that was the blue wave," Meis said. Everton fans supplied their opinions. Lots of them. "I became sort of Twitter connected to 70,000 collaborators on a daily basis and they were telling me: We need one more seat at least than Anfield," Meis said. "I kept trying to explain to these fans that were so adamant about it, bigger is not necessarily better." Seats are raked at 34.99 degrees, close to the legal limit of 35. "For all of the amenities that modern buildings need, and obviously the owners need the revenue from those other things, the food and beverage offerings, but the fans in English football, they still care most about being right on top of the pitch, as close as they can, as steep as they can be," Meis said. ___ AP soccer:https://apnews.com/hub/soccer

Seattle Marinersoutfielder Victor Robles has been suspended for 10 games after he threw his bat at a pitcher during a minor league rehab stint. Robles, who hasn't played in the majors since suffering a dislocated shoulder on April 6, was on the cusp of returning to the Mariners when he was hit by a pitch from Las Vegas Aviators right-hander Joey Estes on Sunday, Aug. 17. After already being hit by pitches three times in five rehab games for Class AAA Tacoma, Robles later said he let "frustration get the best of me" when hepicked up his bat and hurled it toward Estes. Robles was immediately ejected from the game. Afterward on social media, he apologized for his actions. "Coming off a long rehab and being away from the game for most of the season has been physically and mentally challenging,"Robles saidin an Instagram story. "Adding to that, the recent passing of my mother has been incredibly hard, and I've been doing my best to hold it together. That's not an excuse, but some context I feel you deserve to understand where I'm coming from." 82699003007 On Tuesday, MLB announced Robles would be fined and suspended for 10 games once he returns to the Mariners' active roster. However, he has appealed the suspension so no immediate action will be taken. Robles, a nine-year MLB veteran, is in his second season with the Mariners after being acquired from the Washington Nationals last year. Dave Koz and his band were in flight delay hell. So they picked up their instrumentsNew Foto - Dave Koz and his band were in flight delay hell. So they picked up their instruments

Passengers on a flight from St. Louis to Seattle got an unexpected pick-me-up when jazz saxophonist Dave Koz and bandmates held an impromptu jam session in the aisle while the plane was stuck on the tarmac hundreds of miles from their final destination. It happened Aug. 11, when Koz and fellow musicians on the Dave Koz & Friends Summer Horns Tour were headed to Seattle for two days of shows. What was supposed to be a direct flight was beset by delays, including having to divert to Boise, Idaho, after flight crew members timed out and needed to be relieved and the plane encountered a mechanical issue, Koz said Tuesday. This wasn't the first delay the band experienced since its tour started around mid-July, and it even had to cancel two shows because of travel-related issues, Koz said. But the delay last week was particularly deflating not just for the musicians but for everyone on the plane. "You could just feel the energy. Everybody was so frustrated," Koz said. A flight attendant who saw the musicians bring their instruments on board asked if they'd be willing to play a song while they were stuck in Boise. A video of them performing Stevie Wonder's "You Haven't Done Nothin'" — the closer to their show — went viral on social media. It shows Koz and fellow saxophone player Marcus Anderson grooving in the aisle with other horn players behind them and Jeff Bradshaw on trombone getting creative to play the large instrument between seats. Passengers are seen smiling and swaying in their seats, with some recording the performance on their phones. Anderson said it felt good to lift spirits, though Koz admitted being nervous that some passengers might not like "horns playing in people's ears." Anderson likened the feeling afterward to that of a great workout at the gym. The musicians never thought about the possibility of going viral, he said. "It was just doing something good for the people." They performed just the one song, but they knew that was enough. "It just was right, and it brought everybody together in a way that was very special," Koz said. "I'll remember that moment for the rest of my life."

In Netflix's new documentaryThe Truth About Jussie Smollett?, premiering on Friday, Aug. 22, the actor, 43, recalls feeling "like I was being eulogized" on social media as news quickly spread that he'd allegedly been a victim of a hate crime, the same crime he'd later be accused of orchestrating for attention. "I felt like I had died, and I was alive to see — and what people were saying was so kind, but it was too much for me," he says. "It made me very uncomfortable. It made me extremely embarrassed. It made me feel extremely emasculated." He claimed the two men yelled racist and homophobic slurs at him, put arope around his neckand doused him with bleach. Prosecutors alleged that Smollett paid $3,500 to two brothers, Abimbola "Bola" and Olabinjo "Ola" Osundairo, whom he worked with on the showEmpire, to help him pull off the staged attack. InThe Truth About Jussie Smollett?Smollett claims he paid the brothers the $3,500 to get him an illegal herbal supplement from Nigeria, while the brothers claim the actor paid them to beat him up. "I believe he wanted to be the poster boy of activism for Black people, for gay people, for marginalized people," says Bola. Adds Ola: "I thought it was crazy, but at the same time, I'm like, 'It's Hollywood.' This is how it goes." Smollett claims he was "playing whack-a-mole with rumors, with lies," and "at a certain point, it's too many, and you can't catch them all." Six days into his sentence, Smollett was released on bail. The court ruled that the actor's rights had been violated because a special prosecutor pursued charges that were previously dropped by the Cook County State's Attorney. On the first day the brothers were placed in custody, police searched their home with a warrant and found several guns, which Ola is not allowed to possess since he is a convicted felon. Footage is then shown in the documentary of Ola in custody having a private conversation with his lawyer, Gloria Schmidt, where she outlines to him the difference between having your record sealed and having it expunged. "To my eyes, that's when the brothers broker a deal," says documentary producer Abigail Carr. "There was no deal with the police," says Ola, as Bola adds, "You don't need an immunity deal when you're telling the truth." "I was conflicted," Bola continues. "I didn't want to go expose him. I wanted him to be a man and come out and say what happened himself." Smollett, meanwhile, says he "cannot stand the brothers for what they did" and "for how they've allowed themselves to benefit." "But, with that said, I see that from the beginning they were victims in this," Smollett says. "What is important, regardless of what you think about me... the fact is I didn't do that," he says. "That's all that matters." The Truth About Jussie Smollett?begins streaming on Netflix on Aug. 22. Read the original article onPeople
