Ben Affleck Thinks J.Lo's New Songs Are "Childish" and He Seems Very Annoyed

Jennifer Lopez has a fleet of new songs that she's been playing on tour, and at least afewof them appear to be about Ben Affleck—perhaps most tellingly, one called "Wreckage of You" that has the lyrics "now watch me climb out of the wreckage of you." So...how does Ben feel about being an inspiration for J.Lo's music? Apparently he thinks she's being "childish." "If this song or any others bash him, what can he do? It's childish and not something he wants to entertain," a source tellsThe Daily Mail. "It is something he can't control, so he isn't going to let it hurt him and he's definitely not going to give it life by reacting." That said, Ben isn't surprised that J.Lo wrote songs inspired by their divorce. "He's known her long enough and been given a nod on plenty of her music before so he is more than aware that this was coming," the insider says. "He knows that this is something she has to do for herself and for her artistry." Check out the full lyrics of "Wreckage of You" viaGenius:All it takes to make a diamond is pressure, pressureIt's only now I'm realizing, I'm better, betterAt knowing there's a difference when I see it from a distanceThe love I want, the love I need, it starts in me, now I have found my way inI'm gonna stay thereThank you for the scars you left on my heartFor showing me that stars shine brighter in the darkI won't fall apart because of who you areAnd all your broken partsBecause of you, I am stronger, wiserBetter than I've ever beenI won't let you no longer, longerHave the sacred part of meIt was perfect the while when you made me believeReally got only greater for meAnd it made me stronger, stronger, bulletproofNow watch me climb out of the wreckage of youI find comfort in a silence, go missing, missingI won't ignore all of the sirens, I'm listening, listeningIf I just have to break to know how it feelsIf I just have to wait to find something realHowever long it takes for my soul to healI will make that dealBecause of you, I am stronger, wiserBetter than I've ever beenI won't let you no longer, longerHave the sacred part of meIt was perfect the while when you made me believeReally got only greater for meAnd it made me stronger, stronger, bulletproofNow watch me climb out of the wreckage of youThank you for it, the pain that you caused'Cause nothing's gonna stop me, you gon' have to watch meThank you for it, the pain that you causedYou gon' have to watch me climb out of the wreckage of youBecause of you, I am stronger, wiserBetter than I've ever beenI won't let you no longer, longerBe part of my historyIt was perfect the while when you made me believeReally got only greater for meAnd it made me stronger, stronger, bulletproofNow watch me climb out of the wreckage of you You Might Also Like Here's What NOT to Wear to a Wedding Meet the Laziest, Easiest Acne Routine You'll Ever Try

Cardi B sued by fan for assault, battery after viral 2023 microphone-throwing incidentNew Foto - Cardi B sued by fan for assault, battery after viral 2023 microphone-throwing incident

Two years afterCardi Bwas accused ofassaulting a fan with a microphoneduring a live performance, the rapper is facing legal repercussions for the viral incident. The concertgoer, a woman from Cleveland, Ohio, filed a lawsuit July 21, alleging assault, battery and negligence against the Grammy-winning rapper. In the lawsuit, reviewed by USA TODAY the woman, who opted to remain anonymous, alleges the rapper participated in "an unreasonable escalation" that resulted in "reputational and emotional harm." "It is quite the feat to take on someone that is known and loved like Cardi B," the woman's attorney, Cierra N. Norris, said during aJuly 24 press conference."Thank God we are not in a court of public opinion, but we are in a court of law." In anInstagram post, also announcing the lawsuit, Norris wrote: "No one should be afraid to hold someone accountable just because they are famous," adding that the woman is going by the pseudonym Jane Doe because she is "suffering from mental health issues as a result of the incident" and wants to avoid "potential backlash." Drai's Management Group, LLC, the owner of the Las Vegas venue where Cardi's performance took place, is also being sued for its alleged failure "to intervene or de-escalate the incident," Billboard reported. USA TODAY has reached out to Norris and representatives for Cardi B and Drai's Management Group for comment. In July 2023, Cardi Bmade social media headlinesafter footage from her performance at Drai's Beachclub showed her throwing her microphone at an attendee. In the video, whichracked up over 100 million views to date, Cardi retaliated when a concertgoer standing at the edge of the stage tossed the contents of a large white cup, splashing her face and soaking her orange swimsuit cover-up as she performed her breakthrough hit"Bodak Yellow." Norris, however, offered a different version of events, saying during the press conference that Cardi had asked fans to slosh their drinks, and that simply because she had reached her limit does not excuse the "assault" and "battery" the fan endured. Cardi B fan reports batteryafter rapper threw microphone at her in Vegas In videos, the rapper is seen subsequently berating the individual as security retrieved her microphone and appeared to remove the fan. Cardi later repostedanother video of the incidentshared by a fan account. After the jarring encounter, the unidentified fan filed a police report for battery. No arrests or citations were issued, according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. Norris, noting that the lawsuit is being filed years after the incident, said a friend of the fan had contacted her while she was still in Las Vegas, and that she had been the woman's lawyer since then. They wanted to do the litigation right, rather than capitalize on a "15 minutes" of fame, Norris argued. Doe claims Cardi B encouraged "light splashing from drinks" during her performance at Drai's Beachclub, according to the lawsuit. Additional social media footageshared at the time of Cardi's performance showed the rapper seemingly welcoming getting splashed by fans. "Give me water," Cardi said in one clip, after which fans splashed her backside. It's unclear whether the footage was taken before or after the face-splashing incident. The woman, "acting in accordance with the environment created by Cardi B's express words and conduct, and in a manner consistent with other attendees, splashed a small portion of her drink in Cardi B's direction," the lawsuit stated. "In apparent anger and without warning, Cardi B suddenly and forcefully threw her microphone directly at (Doe)." Cardi B's microphone from viral videoplaced in auction for $100K The aggrieved concertgoer said the incident caused her "severe emotional distress, shock, humiliation and physical injury," in the filing. Additionally, Doe said thesale of Cardi B's microphone in an auctionfornearly $100K"further publicized the incident and exacerbated (her) emotional distress." "Fame is not a license to harm," Norris said. "Just because Cardi B is one of the most loved entertainers in the world does not mean that she is free from accountability." In a statement to Billboard addressing the lawsuit, Cardi B's attorney Drew Findling slammed the woman's complaint as a "transparent and pitiful attempted financial shakedown." "The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department and the Clark County District Attorney's Office closed this matter for insufficient evidence a long time ago," Findling told the news outlet. "But apparently the opportunity to try to make money off of a celebrity was too much for some willing law firm to pass up." Michigan's Sherrone Moore refuses to name Bryce Underwood as starting QB, says it's an open competitionNew Foto - Michigan's Sherrone Moore refuses to name Bryce Underwood as starting QB, says it's an open competition

For a quarterback who has yet to start a game in college, Bryce Underwood already has plenty of accolades to his name. He was the No. 1 overall prospect in the 2025 recruiting class and parlayed that success into already appearingon a video game cover. Given his potential and star power, Underwood seems destined to open the season as Michigan's starting quarterback, right? Not so fast. Michigan head coach Sherrone Moore refused to name Underwood as the team's starter, calling the position an "open competition" for now. Sherrone Moore on the QB competition: "Before anybody asks, it's an open competition. (Bryce) is not the starter right now…we will figure that out during camp."Says they'll know who to name when some guy "grabs the team." — Tony Garcia | Detroit Free Press (@RealTonyGarcia)July 24, 2025 That may come as a surprise to some considering Underwood's status as a highly touted recruit. But Moore is willing to see what Mikey Keene can do during camp before making his decision. Keene, who joined Michigan as a transfer from Fresno State, threw 18 touchdowns against 11 interceptions last season. While Underwood comes with more hype, Keene does have experience, playing in 39 games over his college career. For all the excitement over Underwood, he could lack the polish necessary to start from Day 1. Underwood will almost certainly see time as Michigan's starter this season, but it's possible Keene's experience makes him the better option for the team initially. Competent quarterback play would go a long way for the Wolverines, who finished 8-5 last season despite a miserable offense. Any improvement on that side of the ball — particularly at quarterback — would go a long way toward making Michigan a national championship contender. Despite last year's struggles, the teamstill appears on early top-25 listsahead of the 2025-26 season. Moore has a few weeks before he needs to make a decision. Michigan opens the year against New Mexico on Aug. 30. Who will open the season under center when the Wolverines take the field for that contest? Moore is willing to give it some time before he makes that call.

Breanna Stewart, WNBA stars won't settle for 'less' in CBA negotiationsNew Foto - Breanna Stewart, WNBA stars won't settle for 'less' in CBA negotiations

INDIANAPOLIS ― With seconds remaining in the2025 WNBA All-Star Game, New York Liberty forwardBreanna Stewartgathered a rebound and intentionally tossed the ball toWashington Mystics rookie Kiki Iriafen, who was on the opposing team. Iriafen, excited to get another shot at her 4-point attempt, drained the basket and immediately celebrated. The gesture was small, but a proverbial reflection of the work that Stewart,Seattle Storm forward Nneka Ogwumike, andLos Angeles Sparks center Cameron Brinkdo in partnership with Delta. As athlete ambassadors, the trio is part of a specially curatedvideo series called "Power Forward."The initiative, centered around storytelling, gives an inside look at each player's basketball journey, current hurdles present in women's sports at large and what the future looks like for the league as it continues to grow. "The most important part of the league's story with Delta is just kind of showing where we started and the family behind it all," Stewart shared with USA TODAY during All-Star weekend. "I think about the moment where [Cameron Brink] and Nneka [Ogwumike] and I were shooting together and having these videos from our family members to our friends to high school coaches, and it's just a journey ― the journey of our basketball careers and where we are today." Stewart, Ogwumike and Brink began their basketball careers at different times, but their paths have converged and now represent three eras in the WNBA: the past, present and future. Ogwumike, drafted in 2012 by Los Angeles, was already in the league and had a Rookie of the Year trophy when Stewart turned pro with Seattle in 2016. Stewart and Ogwumike had three total championships and three total MVP trophies by the time Brink became the 2024 No. 2 overall pick. The Liberty forward is also part of the leadership staff for the Women's National Basketball Players Association (WNBPA) and inactive CBA negotiationswith the league. Stewart acknowledged the invisible thread that connects her with not only Ogwumike and Brink, but also the next generation of basketball players. "The W is using the momentum to make sure that whether you've been here long enough to understand negotiations from 2020 to negotiations now ― from where we started when I had roommates in my rookie season of the league, now flying charter with Delta, to hopefully even reaching new heights in the following seasons ― we're constantly the ones that are using our platforms for better and striving for even more," Stewart explained. The hope is young players like Brink, Iriafen and many others will benefit from the efforts of the current generation, who have been fighting for their livelihood while unconsciously advocating for players they had yet to meet. Stewart says the current culture of the WNBA is bold. Players are taking risks, fighting for what they believe is right and standing firm in their beliefs, knowing that the next athlete who has yet to grace the hardwood at the pro level is depending on them. Without flinching, she delivered a simple yet powerful message to everyone listening and watching: "Now more than ever, we know our worth and our value, and we're not taking anything less."
