Dramatic footage has been launched displaying the second police officers rescued terrified residents from a fireplace in South Kensington.

A total of 11 people were rushed to hospital following the blaze at a five-storey townhouse in London at 12.30am on Friday.

A person has been arrested on suspicion of arson with intent to hazard life and police are treating the cause of the hearth as suspicious.

The physique worn footage exhibits how officers kicked down the entrance door to enter the building engulfed in flames.

Through the video, officers could be heard shouting: 'Get out, get out,' and 'control, there's individuals trapped on the second flooring.'

Round 130 individuals have been evacuated from the property itself and the encompassing space.

Six residents and 7 cops suffered smoke inhalation and have been taken to hospital but have all been discharged.

Superintendent Jill Horsfall stated: 'The bravery and professionalism of the Met officers who responded so quickly to this terrifying hearth exhibits the easiest of policing.

'They acted with out hesitation to quickly enter a burning constructing filled with smoke and to save lots of lives.'
