Residents have mocked two motorists whose automobiles have been battered by waves after they acquired stuck on a seashore at a well-liked UK holiday location.

Footage showed the mangled stays of a convertible Peugeot 206 and a Vauxhall Corsa, which have been utterly destroyed on Blackpool Beach, Lancashire.

The automobiles have been driven onto the seashore at South Shore, after which acquired marooned because the tide shortly rolled in.

The automobiles have been tossed around by robust breakers, which flipped one automotive on its roof and partially washed the other out to sea.

Council staff rescued the automobiles on February 29. Each suffered lacking wheels, smashed windscreens and heavy bodywork injury.

A Blackpool Council spokesperson stated: 'On Thursday evening, two automobiles have been faraway from the seashore at South Shore.

'We now have been in touch with the registered keepers and will seek to recuperate our prices.

'We perceive the automobiles turned caught in the sand and the drivers have been unable to drive them off the seashore before the tide got here in.

'Fortunately, no one was injured however it serves as a reminder as to why only authorised automobiles should access the seashore.'

Locals who spotted the photographs of the wrecked automobiles did not take pity on the house owners for their determination to drive onto the sands.

Final Might, an unlucky driver lost his BMW to the tide in Trevaunance Cove on the north coast of Cornwall.

The coastguard then rubbed salt into a driver's already salty wounds after the posh automotive was washed out to sea.

'You possibly can't park there sir,' a spokesperson joked on& social media.
