On Monday, July 14,Netflixannounced that Sandra is joining the Los Angeles-based cast ofSelling Sunsetfor season 9, becoming a realtor at the Oppenheim Group — "where new faces will bring new feuds into the Los Angeles real estate market," per a press release. "I guess the cat's out of the bag," Sandra teased in an Instagram Stories post following the announcement. The ninth season of the reality series will follow the O Group agents "vying for the most exclusive listings," Netflix said. The streamer said cast membersChrishell Stause,Chelsea Lazkani,Emma Hernan,Nicole Young, Alanna Gold, Mary Fitzgerald, Amanza Smith, Bre Tiesi, and Jason and Brett Oppenheim will all be returning. "The O Group felt like the perfect fit: sharp, high energy, and full of people who are at the top of their game," Vergara said in the press release. "Season 9 definitely brings some unexpected twists," she added. "There are some jaw-dropping moments you won't see coming." Netflix Sandra — a former Los Angeles correspondent forPEOPLE (the TV Show!)— has spent time as an actor, journalist and luxury real estate professional. She began her career on E! alongside RuPaul, and has appeared in TV shows includingCSI,The Bold and the BeautifulandNip/Tuck. Per the release, Netflix adds, "Oh and if that last name rings a bell: Yes, she's the cousin and adoptive sister of fellow actor Sofia Vergara." Speaking with Netflix, Sandra said that she hopes to join the O Group with "an instinct for value and ability to navigate high-stakes environments." "I've always had an eye for design and a love for people, so combining that in real estate just clicked," she said. "I'd seen [Selling Sunset] and always thought the women were incredibly dynamic. But being on the inside now, it's a whole different level of excitement." Selling Sunsetcreator Adam DiVello also told the streamer following thedrama in season 8and clashes on social media among the cast (involvingYoung, Stause, Lazkani and Hernan) that season 9 will pick up right where the last season left off.
