Cats Make Sleeping Together Look Like a Full-Contact Sport With Their Odd Positions

A grey Tabby has found a very comfortable place to rest her chin: directly on her Orange housemate’s backside. The video from @jason.hnh shows the pair asleep on the couch armrest, with the tabby tucked in so neatly that she looks completely content. The orange cat is stretched out in front of her, apparently happy to accept this sleep arrangement.
The text states, “How my cats sleep together,” and their dad can only stare at the scene. He then pulls back the shot and reveals where both cats have settled. And there are more odd sleeping positions waiting in the “caaaaaat” highlight.
Cats find surprisingly creative ways to get comfortable while sleeping side by side
The first shot is almost comically peaceful. The grey tabby has her chin resting on the curve of the orange cat’s rear end, eyes closed and body completely relaxed. Dad notices her and says, “Oh my God, look at her, she’s so relaxed.” He is right. She looks extremely comfortable. Then he adds, “Aww, she’s so cute but…”
The camera pulls back. That is when the rest of the setup comes into view. Both cats are stretched out along the couch armrest, using the narrow space as their shared sleeping spot. “Why? Why?” Dad asks. Honestly, fair question.
But the orange cat seems perfectly content to let his grey tabby companion use him as a headrest. She does not move either. Her chin stays right where it is, and both cats keep sleeping.
Their owner summed up the situation pretty well in the caption: “They always have a weird way of sleeping together.” The extra clips in the “caaaaat” highlight that back. The pair shows up in a few more odd positions, still curled up close and looking completely at ease.
Cats can be particular about where they settle, but these two seem happy sharing the same small patch of couch. And the grey tabby looks so comfortable that the unusual position hardly seems to matter anymore.
The orange cat does not seem bothered either. He just keeps sleeping while his housemate uses him as a pillow. Just two cats sleeping together in a position that would probably have most people reaching for an actual cushion.
