Angel Reese and the Atlanta Dream will officially compete in the 2026 WNBA Finals following an easy 3-0 series win over the New York Liberty.
This will be Reese's first-ever WNBA Finals appearance. As a result, many are using it to claim that Reese is already better than Caitlin Clark.
After all, Clark's Indiana Fever were eliminated in the first round of the 2026 WNBA Playoffs. Now, a viral X post claims that Reese took a shot at Clark during the postgame conference after reaching the WNBA Finals.
The X post in question is from the 'Fever Update' handle on the platform. The post has a muted clip of Reese from her postgame conference, with a caption claiming that Reese took a shot at Clark.
At the time of writing, the post already had over 450K views and 1.6K comments on X.
However, the post is completely made up and false, as Reese never made such comments during the entire press conference.
It's true that Reese and Clark played against each other in the 2023 NCAA Women's Basketball Championship, with the former's LSU Tigers coming out on top.
Reese did mock Clark with a ring gesture during the college matchup, but the Dream star hasn't taken a shot at the Fever guard since reaching the 2026 WNBA Finals.
