Johnny Knoxville to Host 'Fear Factor' Reboot on FoxNew Foto - Johnny Knoxville to Host 'Fear Factor' Reboot on Fox

Johnny Knoxville is no stranger to doing crazy stunts, thanks to his tenure on the long-running reality program "Jackass." Now he'll get to watch others take part in similar antics. Knoxville will host a revival on Fox of the popular competition program "Fear Factor," in which contestants would take on crazy assignments, such as jumping on to a moving vehicle or eating insects. In the new Fox version, a group of contestants will live together in a remote location, and grapple not only with dares and stunts but social-media challenges as well. The series, slated to be called "Fear Factor: The Next Chapter," is set to premiere during Fox's 2025-2026 season. More from Variety How to Watch New York Yankees vs. Boston Red Sox Live with Hulu + Live TV 'Doc' Season 2 Casts Felicity Huffman in Series Regular Role 'Cleaning Lady,' 'Alert: Missing Persons Unit' Canceled at Fox "When you reimagine a series as legendary as 'Fear Factor,' you need a host who is the epitome of daring charisma and spectacle, and that's Johnny Knoxville personified," said Sharon Levy, Chief Executive Officer, Endemol Shine North America\, in a prepared statement. "We'll be pushing fear and social strategy to places that will redefine reality competition, which makes Johnny the perfect host for what will be a wild, unforgettable ride, and we're beyond excited to see him unleash all the fear (and the fun) on our contestants and our viewers." "Fear Factor" has a long lineage. The series was originally hosted by Joe Rogan on NBC, then by Ludacris on MTV. Over the course of each episode, contestants vie for thousands of dollars by taking part in stunts that may involve physical challenges, gross-out demands and even extreme-action scenarios. Knoxville has seen it all. The regulars on "Jackass" might, in any given episode, snort wasabi, wander through a ball pit that contained snakes or get into a portable toilet that was launched via catapult. Stunts on "Jackass" were so outrageous that the show drew criticism from then-U.S. Senator Joseph Lieberman. "Fear Factor" faced similar scrutiny, with one viewer filing a lawsuit against NBC after seeing a stunt that involved blended rats. The plaintiff claimed the sight was so disgusting it caused him to get violently ill, but a judge threw out the case, citing First Amendment protections. Fox will launch a revival of the series in an era when the average consumer is more accustomed to scenes that once were seen as too shocking to be on traditional TV. In an era when people make sexual entreaties on Tik Tok or suggest strange do-it-yourself guidance via YouTube, the fare seen on "Fear Factor" may no longer have the same power to appall. Knoxville's expertise with such fare may give him new power to lead the audience through what they see. "Johnny Knoxville is the champion of fearless entertainment," said Michael Thorn, President of Fox Television Network, in a prepared statement.  "His wild sense of humor, unmatched ability to push boundaries and take on the extreme makes him the perfect fit to lead this bold new reinvention of 'Fear Factor.'" Since his time on "Jackass," Knoxville has acted in series including "The Studio," "Reboot," and "The Prank Panel," as well as in films including "The Ringer" and "The Dukes of Hazzard." He is represented by CAA, Sloane, Offer, Weber & Dern, and The Lede Company. The new "Fear Factor" series is produced by Endemol Shine North America, a Banijay Americas company. Kevin Lee will serve as executive producer, along with Endemol Shine North America's Sharon Levy, Michael Heyerman and Sean Loughlin. The original "Fear Factor" was created by Endemol Shine Netherlands, and has resulted in 32 different versions of the show around the world. Casting for the upcoming series open to people over the age of 18, who are residents of the U.S. or Canada. More information can be found at FearIsBack.com. NBA Finals odds: 1 bettor wagered $8 million (!) on the Oklahoma City Thunder to win the titleNew Foto - NBA Finals odds: 1 bettor wagered $8 million (!) on the Oklahoma City Thunder to win the title

The Oklahoma City Thunder finished off the Indiana Pacers103-91 in Game 7 on Sunday night, winning the first championship in OKC franchise history and covering as 6.5-point home favorites. While it was an exciting game for fans to watch, one bettor was likely on the edge of his seat throughout. And it wasn't even theBetMGMbettor in Nevada who hadwagered $1.05 million on the Thunderat -700 odds to win $150,000. BetMGM reported on X on Monday afternoonthat one bettor in Ohio wagered a staggering $8 million on the Thunder to win the NBA Finals at -700 odds on June 5, the night of Game 1. The $8 million wager is one of the largest in legal U.S. sports betting history. Jim "Mattress Mack" McIngvale had a $3 million wager on the Houston Astros to win the World Series at 10-1 odds back in 2022, which cashed when the Astros beat the Philadelphia Phillies in six games. The OKC wager was a larger initial stake, but the bet won "just" $1,142,857.15 after Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Co. pulled away late to defeat the Pacers. Oklahoma City opened as a +240 favorite to win the 2025-26 NBA title atBetMGM, the shortest preseason odds for any team since the 2018-19 Golden State Warriors — a team that was an odds-on favorite (-168) to win the championship, according to Sports Odds History. That Warriors team ended up making its fifth consecutive NBA Finals that season, but lost to the Toronto Raptors after both Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson were injured in the postseason. The Cleveland Cavaliers (+700) and New York Knicks (+700) have the next-best odds — and best odds in the Eastern Conference — while the Houston Rockets (+800) have the best odds of any other Western Conference team outside the Thunder. With the Thunder looking like long-term contenders, this likely won't be the last massive wager on them.

In the meantime, the Athletics will play games at Sacramento's Sutter Health Park, the home of the Sacramento River Cats, a minor-league affiliate of the San Francisco Giants. Sutter Health Park has a capacity ofroughly 14,000 people, per CBS News. The Athletics' new park in Las Vegas is expected to seat roughly 33,000 fans. The cost of the new park is estimated at $1.75 billion. The team's move is not without controversy. After struggling to settle on a new stadium site near Oakland, Fisher received approval from MLB and Manfred to relocate in 2021. Two years later, theteam purchased landin Las Vegas, with the intent to move the team to the city. The move receivedunanimous approvalfrom MLB owners during the 2023-24 MLB offseason. During the 2023 season, Oakland fans staged areverse boycottat the ballpark. In an attempt to prove fans were not the problem, Oakland supporters showed up in droves to protest Fisher's attempt to sell the team. Fans wore green T-shirts with the word "SELL" in capital letters and chanted "sell the team" to Fisher. The protests received massive attention but did not stop Fisher from moving the team. In anticipation of the team's move to Las Vegas, the Athletics were more active than normal in free agency, inking pitcher Luis Severino to a deal that could total $67 million, the largest ever handed out by the team in free agency.

In a note to owners and friends on Sunday, Lukas Enterprises announced: "We regret to inform you that D. Wayne Lukas will not be returning to racing. A severe MRSA blood infection has caused significant damage to his heart, digestive system, and worsened pre-existing chronic conditions. The doctors proposed an aggressive treatment plan, involving multiple surgeries and procedures over several months. Even with the best-case scenario, Wayne would require 24/7 assistance to manage daily activities." The note goes on to say that Lukas declined the aggressive treatment plan and would "return home to spend his remaining time with his wife, Laurie, his grandchildren and great-grandchildren." It also says that he will be under home hospice care. Read more:Commentary: Irascible D. Indiana Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton tore his right Achilles in Sunday's Game 7, ESPN's Shams Charaniaconfirmedon Monday. The 25-year-old Haliburtonsustained the injury in the first quarter of Game 7 of the NBA Finalsvs. the Oklahoma City Thunder. Haliburton — who was playing through a calf injury — fell to the floor after trying to push off his right leg and drive to the basket. He pounded his hand on the ground and yelled in pain while on the floor. Tyrese Haliburton went down with an injury in Game 7.pic.twitter.com/AZ1uk65dFg — ESPN (@espn)June 23, 2025 The Pacers' star was unable to put any weight on his injured leg as he was being helped off the court. Haliburton was off to a strong start in the contest, hitting three shots from beyond the arc before sustaining the injury. Haliburton's nine points had Indiana in the contest in the early going. It was 16-16 when he left the game. The Pacers went on tolose the game 103-91. It was the same leg in which Haliburton sustained a calf injury during Game 5 of the NBA Finals. Haliburton played through the injury in Game 5 but went 0-for-6 from the field, finishing with zero points inthe Pacers' loss. He underwent an MRI following the contest. While the injury was supposed to keep Haliburton sidelined for weeks, hevowed to continue playingin the Finals. Haliburton was available for Game 6 and had no minutes restriction. He played 22 minutes in the game, finishing with 14 points and leading the Pacers toa 108-91 winto force Game 7. He lasted just over seven minutes into Game 7 before the injury. The Pacers quickly ruled Haliburton out for the rest of the game due to a right "lower-leg injury." Later in the contest, Haliburton's father, John, told ESPN his son was dealing with an Achilles injury. The Pacers initially seemed unfazed by the injury and managed to hold a one-point lead at halftime. But the Thunder's defense got its act together in the third quarter, taking advantage of the Pacers' turnovers to outscore Indiana by 14 points in the frame. That third-quarter outburst by Oklahoma City essentially put the game out of reach for the Pacers. The injury puts a damper on the Pacers' future. While Haliburton showed promise early in his career with the Sacramento Kings, he blossomed into a superstar with the Pacers. In four seasons with the team, he averaged 19.5 points and 10.1 assists. Haliburton was arguably playing the best basketball of his career prior to the calf injury. He hit multiple game-tying orgame-winning shotsin the final seconds of games to keep the Pacers' hopes alive during the postseason. Indiana would not have advanced as far as it did without Haliburton's heroics. With Haliburton expected to miss most if not all of next season, it will fall on Pascal Siakam and Bennedict Mathurin to keep the team afloat until Haliburton can return. Despite Haliburton's injury, the Pacers still have thesixth-best oddsto win the NBA championship next season.

TheReal Housewives of Beverly Hillsalum, who will turn 44 on July 1, shared back-to-back photographs onInstagramof her progress, explaining, "I noticed a real change in my hair regrowth." The reality star — who had been sharing her ongoing struggle withmelanomaafter undergoing 17 surgeries for theinvasive skin cancer— confirmed in April that her cancer had progressed to stage 4, having metastasized to herbrain and lungs. She needed immunotherapy, radiation and surgery totreat the tumors. Teddi Mellencamp/Instagram The treatments left her with patchy bald spots, leaving some of her followers to ask why she didn'tshave her "whole head." She explained on Instagram, "During radiation I lost big patches of hair; those spots aren't growing hair yet. This is what it looks like when the other hair grows out. So I shave these parts that grow every couple of weeks. I can't do it every day 🤣." As she shared in her new update, "Cancer comes with so many emotions: anger, sadness, loneliness. And while I feel grateful that immunotherapy is saving my life, I feel like I live in a fog, and I can't help but beat myself up on all of the ways I am falling short.
