Thursday morning commute for some 540 passengers of a southbound MRT-3 practice turned harder after they have been unloaded at the line's Cubao station after the practice conked out with an electrical motor failure.
Based on the MRT-Three management, the passengers have been unloaded from the practice at the Cubao station at 6:24 a.m. The passengers have been then allowed to board on the subsequent practice that arrived some five minutes later.
The line's management stated worn-out electrical sub-components of the motor corresponding to the primary chopper, regulator, and insulator brought about the failure.
