After a one-week break and the release of its latest episode on Aug. 20, Comedy Central's "South Park" announced that it would change its episode release schedule from weekly to bi-weekly. The network confirmed that new episodes will be released according to the updated schedule at least through September, as reported byThe Hollywood Reporterand otherpublications. Season 27 of "South Park"has only aired three episodes to date, featuring portrayals and jokes targeting the Trump administration, including the president, Vice PresidentJD Vance, and U.S. Secretary of Homeland SecurityKristi Noem. Between those three releases, the show has already had two hiatuses: one between episodes 1 and 2, and another between episodes 2 and 3. Here is what you need to know. Paramount announced that the next two episodes of "South Park" will be released on Wednesday, Sept. 3, and again on Wednesday, Sept. 17, in an email sent to USA TODAY. The next episode of "South Park" will first air on Comedy Central and then be available for streaming on Paramount+. Paramount+offers two subscription plans. Paramount+ Essential is just $7.99 per month and provides access to thousands of episodes, movies, and live NFL on CBS (with limited ads). Paramount+ Premiumis $12.99 per month and includes everything in the Essential plan plus Showtime originals, blockbuster movies and live TV with fewer ads.
